About Me:

I have been around this community leadership scene for about 26 years. I was a founding board member of Leadership La Porte County, was a volunteer and board member most of the time, have been the lead facilitator for 25 years, and am currently serving as Director of the organization. I was an ILA board member back in the 80's, went through the Indiana Leadership Initiative, and am serving as an ILA board member once again. I have been an occasional member of the national Community Leadership Association and have attended many national conferences. Yes, I am a community leadership "junkie". It has been a great ride. I have seen many changes and ups and downs over the years, but some things remain: communities and organizations that need leadership help, dedicated "leadership" people reaching out to help, and tons of resources to assist. However, these things often don't come together enough to make significant improvements. My hope is that the ILA and this website can make an impact in Indiana and in each community that reaches out for help. I welcome your comments and feedback. Let's continue the dialogue.

What do you bring to the table?

This website and the ILA is about sharing leadership ideas and resources. There are many great community leadership training programs in Indiana; there are many talented and experienced trainers here; there are many wonderful organizations that have leadership best practices in this state; there are many websites and links that need to be shared. But how do we know where they are, who they are, and how do we connect to them? This website should help.
I ask, "what do you bring to the table?" To get the information flowing, I'll begin.
