11:15 a.m. Round-table Session 1: Alumni Engagement
Tandy Shuck, and the team from Leadership Johnson County (LJC), will share their practices around alumni engagement. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of LJC and share their own practices.

12:15 p.m. Lunch & Keynote Address: The Good Girl Gone Boss Podcast

Shafer Leadership Academy is proud to sponsor the podcast, Good Girl Gone Boss. GGGB is a weekly podcast hosted by husband/wife team Matt Howell & Angie Rogers-Howell. Each episode features banter between the cohosts on a variety of topics ranging from Angie’s transition to a Boss Lady to what it’s like to run a business with your spouse.  From there, Matt and Angie interview local women in the Muncie/Delaware County community. The podcast explores what makes them tick, the cool things they are doing to make our community a great place to live and work, and how they’ve Gone Boss.

In this address Matt and Angie will discuss their successes and challenges with podcasting, and why it might make sense for local leadership academies to start their own podcast!

1:00 p.m. Round-table Session 2: Evaluation Methods
Lynn Ringis, ILA President and Executive Director for the Montgomery County Leadership Academy, will lead a facilitated discussion regarding program evaluation methods.

2:00 p.m. Break

2:15 p.m. Round-table Session 3: Innovative Programming Ideas
Tisha Gierhart from Shafer Leadership Academy (SLA) will share their program ideas. Participants will the opportunity to ask questions for SLA and share their own practices.

3:15 p.m. Sharing of Best Practices/Biggest Challenges

Mitch Isaacs, ILA Vice President and Executive Director for Shafer Leadership Academy, will lead the group through an intentional conversation regarding the things were are most proud of and our biggest challenges.

4:00 p.m. Networking/ Cocktail Hour  (Twin Archer Brewpub)


The Best Practices Roundtable is $45 per participant.
