“Best Practices for Implementing Diversity Education and Inclusion”

Program Description

How is your organization incorporating diversity and inclusion into your programming? More community leadership programs across the state are including this critical topic in their efforts. Join us for this facilitated panel where we will share some of the best practices around DEI, along with answering your questions!

Panelists

Anne Darku is the Director of Programs at Leadership Southern Indiana with vast experience in both leadership and community development. A proud graduate of Murray State University and a 500 Hour certified yoga and meditation instructor, Anne has served in roles from The World Affairs Council of Philadelphia to Second City in Chicago as well as co-founding a local Louisville non-profit, Mama to Mama. You may find her guiding corporate employees through mindfulness, teaching yoga at the local YMCA or developing adult and youth community leaders to help them serve and transform themselves and our region.

 

Barry Schrock has been working in coaching, training, and leadership for more than 28 years as a basketball coach, educational leader, and business owner. He is currently the director of leadership programs with Greater Fort Wayne Inc. and is a sought-after high-performance coach, leadership trainer, and keynote speaker. He is an expert in helping individuals, teams, and companies discover high performance and unlock it for success. Barry has presented to thousands of individuals as a speaker, workshop trainer, company coach, guest lecturer, podcast guest and personal coach to C-Suite executives including CEOs, vice presidents, and managers.

 

 

 

Stephanie Singh is the Director of Communications and Marketing for the Town of Plainfield. Stephanie is responsible for handling all communications and marketing for a growing municipality. She directs media relations, branding, advertising and website development for the Town of Plainfield, Plainfield Police Department, Plainfield Parks and Recreation, Plainfield Department of Public Works and the Plainfield Fire Territory.

Moderator

Stephen Reuther is the Executive Director for the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute.

Stephen Reuther is a native to the New Orleans Region and serves as the Executive Director of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute, a nonprofit organization focused on creating a platform and programming for thought leadership and collaboration around issues affecting Southeast Louisiana.  Reuther currently serves as the ALP (Association of Leadership Programs) DEI Affinity Group Lead, he serves on the charter school board for Success at Thurgood Marshall, and he is a fellow of the Charter Board Leadership Academy by the Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools.
